BUY SCI-FI AND FANTASY BOOKS AND VIDEOS ONLINE
In association with sendit.com and

Douglas Adams 1952 - 2001
|
We've searched through the vast range offered by Amazon and sendit.com to find
all the books, audio cassettes, videos, DVDs and even computer games they have
related to The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Then we did the same again for Terry Pratchett's Discworld, Babylon 5, Farscape
and many of your other favourites. We've organised and listed them, with a link
for each item to take you straight to its location on Amazon's Web site, where
you can check the latest price of the product, buy it easily and have it
delivered quickly. For videos and DVDs there are also links to sendit.com (formerly sendit.com), the
UK's biggest online video store. |

Not Just Hobbits
You've seen the films by now, probably got your new copy of Lord of the
Rings too, but since we made the effort to find all these Tolkien books,
tapes and CDs please click here to see what we
came up with!

End of an Era
With the sad death of Douglas Adams in 2001, there will be no new titles after
The Salmon of Doubt, which came out in May 2002.
Click here for The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
and other work by this great author.

Terry Pratchett
The latest Discworld Book, Going
Postal, came out in hardback in October 2004.
A Hat Full of Sky, sequel to The Wee
Free Men, should be out in paperback in May.

Give us a clue!
We started off with The Hitch-Hiker's Guide, obviously, then we researched
other authors and series that we liked and thought you might like too. Some are
quite popular, some, sadly, not at all.
We'd rather spend our time constructively. So please take a moment to enter in
the box below any author or series or theme that you'd like to see here, and
those are the ones we'll do next!
I would like to see: |
|
In the lead so far:
Fred Saberhagen with 2 votes Robert Heinlein with 2 votes CJ Cherryh with 2 votes |
|
| If you don't see your favourite fantasy or sci-fi author or series
listed, please use the Amazon and sendit.com search boxes to
look on their Web sites - it's probably there somewhere but we haven't got
round to including it here yet. American and other overseas readers, I
apologize; there simply aren't enough hours in the day to catalogue more
than one online retailer's site. All you get is the button on the right
that takes you to the Amazon.com Website.

Why these companies?
Amazon has its competitors, such as Waterstones and W H Smith Online.
However, quite simply, we feel that Amazon usually offer the widest range,
the best service and the lowest prices - often offering books at as much as
50% discount from the list price. We think this is the best way to buy books
online. And sendit.com is the UK's biggest video store, with over 50,000
titles in stock, and offers great customer service and free postage in the UK.
