Punkin: Redneck pronunciation of pumpkin, a large orange American fruit.
Chunkin: To throw, catapult, blast out of a cannon with compressed air, or otherwise make something that shouldn't fly to do so. Punkin Chunkin: Probably the most fun a bunch of drunkin American rednecks can have. Doing so by constructing large complex machinery whose sole purpose is to lob a pumpkin as far as Earthling technology wil permit. Note: event's success completely revolves around a large stock of alcholic beverages (see Beer) Our picture shows the sturdy crew of El Launcho Grande preparing to take a shot at the 2001 World Championship Punkin Chunkin title, eventually won by Old Glory from Delaware with a chunk of just over 3911 feet. In 2002, 2nd Amendment took the title, and held it in 2003 by hurling an unfortunate punkin a very impressive 4434 feet, that's well over three-quarters of a mile... |
